PenFed is hiring a Technical Trainer Specialist at one of the following locations: Papillion, Nebraska; Omaha, Nebraska;Eugene, Oregon; and San Antonio, Texas. The primary purpose of this job is to develop and deliver new hire courses including non-technical, job specific technical training, and refresher classes for various service center positions. This position will assist with performance solutions in response to compliance needs and other special projects, updating and documenting processes. Schedule will be four 10 hour days, Saturday plus three days between Tuesday and Friday. Hours will be approximately 8am to 7pm but can vary based on training needs. Plan, develop, deliver and evaluate computer system training, products and services, and policies and procedures with primary focus on assigned content area. Support facilitation and design of content for a training program, job role or small job family; often focused within a single business unit. Assist in the development and delivers content for technical and non-technical content through a variety of mediums, with the primary focus on instructor-led facilitation. Ensure appropriate tools are employed to effectively present the learning materials in a technically proficient manner. Develop, stage, and maintain realistic training data in technical training simulations for trainee use and demonstration of all functions. Troubleshoot and resolve live issues, identifies solutions/ answers and distributes to trainees and appropriate stakeholders.  Assess employee skills, monitors and reports progress, and makes development recommendations to supervisors. Update curriculum and content as needed. Ensure that learning objectives and member goals are delivered and met through assessments. Ensure that all training, regardless of delivery mode, is presented in a professional and accurate manner and includes but is not limited to course syllabus, learning objectives, course content, supporting documentation, and assessments and surveys.  Evaluates employee performance and develops strategies to coach employees to expected performance levels. Drives results for Member Service Centers by designing and delivering performance solutions. Models personal development by seeking new learning opportunities and maintaining professional knowledge. Qualifications Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Human Resources or Business Administration. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience delivering and designing technical and non-technical training courses. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience and solid performance within a financial service center or branch role is preferred. Supervisory Responsibility This position will not supervise employees. Licenses and Certifications There are no additional certifications required. CPLP training certification is a plus Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds. Travel Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required. Typical travel assignments are 2 to 4 weeks in length.
