PenFed Credit Union Remote Lead Correspondent Operations Support Analyst in San Antonio, Texas

PenFed is hiring a Remote Lead Correspondent Operations Support Analyst at one of the following locations: San Antonio, Texas; Tysons, Virginia; Phoenix, Arizona; Jacksonville, Florida; Dallas, Texas; or Charlotte, North Carolina. This position is responsible for day-to-day oversight of the mortgage pipeline to ensure critical service level milestones are achieved. This position is also responsible for daily reporting with regards to fulfillment production and integral in maintaining production analytics, workflow management and ad-hoc reporting. This position is remote, and can be located anywhere in the United States. Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve reporting and data analytics. Act as a subject matter expert for mortgage reporting and provides guidance to peers and business leaders. Act as a catalyst for change regrading data capture and use to drive business decisions. Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve reporting and data analytics. Partner with Process Development Team to construct and operate all workflow management logistics. Provide analysis to identify potential production opportunities and partners with Correspondent Production Leadership to develop tactical and strategic solutions. Meet with Correspondent Production Leadership daily to review production service level agreement performance. Operate all Production Business Continuity logistics and workflow management. Act as business liaison to reporting technology counterparts to develop strategic operational reporting and metrics. Accountable for the performance and results of the workgroup. Develop and monitor production analytics by leveraging various reporting platforms to compile data and publish for all Correspondent Operations channels. Validate reports to identify the responsible parties on findings reported by QC, QA, Loan Delivery, Post Closing, Credit Risk and/or Compliance. Provide testing support on all projects affecting the mortgage loan process. Champion key reporting processes and metrics to capture important data for business leaders. Qualifications Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in banking or credit union operations that provides a working knowledge of products, services, systems, operational policies and procedures, and regulatory compliance issues is required Experience with real estate loans (origination, processing, closing, funding) is required Familiarity with lending and credit laws and regulations, including but not limited to RESPA, Fair Credit Reporting, Regulations B, C, E and Z, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) Truth in Savings and the SAFE act is preferred Experience and knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is preferred Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously Ability to effectively convey ideas and educate individuals and small groups Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong computer skills, including MS Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio). Working knowledge of SQL databases is preferred. Proven ability to balance multiple priorities, adapt to constantly changing business environment, work independently, drive projects to completion, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrate abilities in problem –solving and analysis identifies issues, analyzes information to assess root cause and relationships, risks, and potential risk responses. Proven ability to synthesize complex data into concise recommendations and reports to senior management Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds. Travel Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call is required.
