PenFed Credit Union Technical Trainer, Consumer Lending in Omaha, Nebraska

PenFed is hiring a Technical Trainer, Consumer Lending at one of the following locations: Omaha, Nebraska; Eugene, Oregon; or San Antonio, Texas. The primary purpose of this position is to develop and deliver technical, non-technical, and job specific training for members of the Consumer Lending department. Additionally, this position will help create training outlines, update desk manuals, and provide feedback for updates to materials regarding Consumer Lending. Plan, develop, deliver, and evaluate training regarding Origination systems, products and services, and policies and procedures. Support facilitation and design of content for a training program, job role or small job family. Assist in the development and delivers content for technical and non-technical content through a variety of mediums, with the primary focus on instructor-led facilitation. Ensure appropriate tools are employed to effectively present the learning materials in a technically proficient manner. Develop and maintain content for use by departmental staff; this includes Knowledge pages, internal sites such as SharePoint, and material about underwriting & processing provided to outside departments. Develop, stage, and maintain realistic training data in technical training simulations for trainee use and demonstration of all functions. Troubleshoot and resolve live issues, identifies solutions/ answers, and distributes to trainees and appropriate stakeholders. Assess employee skills, monitors, and reports progress, and makes development recommendations to supervisors. Update curriculum and content as needed. Ensure that learning objectives and goals were delivered and met through assessments. Ensure that all training, regardless of delivery mode, is presented in a professional and accurate manner and includes but is not limited to course syllabus, learning objectives, course content, supporting documentation, and assessments and surveys. Qualifications Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Human Resources or Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience and solid performance within a financial service center or branch role is required, preferably in Consumer lending or processing. Minimum of two (2) years’ underwriting experience is required. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience with training or testing responsibilities (i.e., cross-training, developing training content/curriculum, user-acceptance and/or functional training) is required. Supervisory Responsibility This position will mentor new employees in the Consumer Lending group for the duration of their training course. Upon release from training, the supervision will pass to the Team Lead in their respective locations. Licenses and Certifications CPTP training certification is a plus. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds. Travel Limited travel to various worksites may be required.
