PenFed is hiring a Senior Manger, Internal Fraud and Investigations at our Tysons, Virginia location. The primary purpose of this job is to lead a team to develop and execute on Internal Fraud reporting/triggers, review and submit SARS and larger investigations of fraud related to alleged criminal, fraudulent, or unethical activities perpetrated against PenFed by either internal or external actors. The incumbent will develop and oversee a comprehensive program responsible for planning, directing, recovery, prosecution, and overall case management, along with the documentation and reporting of both internal and external investigations. Lead and oversee staff responsible for performing the Internal Fraud development and execution (70%), SARS (20%) and larger investigations (10%). Directly manage complex or sensitive cases by conducting research, analyzing facts and data, conducting interviews, preparing reports and other key documentation, recommending investigative direction, and presenting results to the appropriate authority. Cooperate and collaborate with executive management and all other business units, as appropriate, during all phases of internal and external investigations. Support Financial Intelligence Unit. Interact with Human Resources, Legal and federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies when appropriate. Maintain an active professional network to share and receive information. Testify in court proceedings involving both civil and criminal matters as a representative of PenFed if required. This role is responsible for ensuring business continuity. Qualifications Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Bachelors’ degree in related field is required, Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of ten (10) years’ supervisory experience related to financial/internal investigations and/or e-commerce is preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of comprehensive understanding of fraud is required= Minimum of three (3) years of experience in forensic accounting, fraud examination, internal or external audit, and fraud analytics is preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of financial and business acumen is preferred. Working knowledge of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act, Bank Secrecy Act, and all other regulations related to fraud activities, schemes, and investigations is required. Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability and willingness to work collaboratively with others, are essential. Demonstrate analytical skills, complex problem-solving skills, and research skills are essential. Strong attention to detail and delivering a thorough, high-quality work product is also essential. Ability to work under pressure, act decisively, and consistently meet deadlines is required. Strong oral and written communication skills are required. Documentation, report writing, and presenting are key components of this position. Highly effective organization, time management, and prioritization skills are essential. Supervisory Responsibility This postion will supervise employees. Licenses and Certifications There are no additional certifications required. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds. Travel Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call will be required.
