PenFed is hiring a Junior Project Manager, Construction at our Tysons Corner, Virginia location. The Jr. Project Manager of Construction will be responsible for design, development and construction drawings in Auto Cad. Job duties will include providing estimates, reviewing construction plans, assisting with bid processes and day to day construction projects tracking. This position will assist with the construction process, including preparing construction contracts, developing, and monitoring construction schedules, overseeing the completion of fit-outs, expansions, and renovations.

  • Creating design development and construction drawings in Auto Cad.

  • Oversees the design and construction of new corporate, service centers and retail branch locations renovations, expansions, and relocations.

  • Defines the scope, goals, and deliverables of each project by partnering with all internal partners and external team members.

  • Controls spending on each project to obtain the highest quality finishes for the best price.

  • Develops progress reports for each project weekly provides quality inspection and judgments on conditions of construction.

  • Must be knowledgeable and familiar in mechanical, Electrical, structural, plumbing, UPS units, generators, roofing, landscaping, painting and general maintenance aspects of new and existing buildings.

  • Be able to draft job related written communications and assessments.

  • Maintain working knowledge of all department responsibilities to ensure the ability to lead specialized staff in various skills, including sales and technical support.

  • Plan and organize unit staff meetings.

Qualifications

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management is preferred.

  • Auto CAD experience required.

  • Minimum of (2-4) years’ of experience in construction management is preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; MS Project a plus.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will supervise employees.

Licenses and Certifications

2021 Auto CAD experience strongly preferred.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

*Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds. *

Travel

Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call is required.
