PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Procurement Analyst at our Tysons, Virginia location. The Procurement Analyst position will procure a variety of goods and services for PenFed. The goods and services will range from IT hardware and software to Facilities goods and services to Human Resource benefits. The Procurement Analyst will be the primary interface between business units and vendors. The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for negotiating with vendors to ensure PenFed is procuring goods and services at fair and reasonable prices.

Develops Request for Proposals including requirements, evaluation criteria, pricing sheets and analysis.
Presents sourcing opportunities to the business unit with their strategic planning initiatives.
Evaluates proposals and makes recommendations to the business unit based on cost benefit analysis findings.
Able to develop internal Procurement processes and procedures.
Provides strong customer service to PenFed business units.
Awards contracts with signing authority up to $250k.
Generates Purchase Orders within the Procurement system.
Negotiates pricing and contract terms and conditions.
Evaluates vendors’ annual performance.
Supports PenFed business units on the corporate Travel & Expense (T&E) management solution, T&E policy, and corporate cards including the Procurement card.
Authorized Procurement Card holder.
Qualifications
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
Baccalaureate degree in related field or related military service experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions.
Minimum Years of Experience 2 -4 years Business or equivalent experience.
Expert knowledge of MS Office Products.
Knowledge of ERP or other Procurement Systems.
Good analytical and statistical skills required.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.
Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.
Travel
The ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.
