PenFed is hiring a Director, Content Marketing (Remote) at one of the following locations: Tyson's, Virginia; San Antonio, Texas; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; West Islip, New York; or Astoria, New York. The primary purpose of the Director, Content Marketing will be responsible for driving home loan volume through engaging members, referral sources, and industry influencers with compelling content that increases PenFed’s mindshare in the industry. This position will be responsible for overseeing the ideation, development and implementation of content marketing campaigns, digital and print content assets, videos, websites, landing pages, webinars, and other strategies designed to generate awareness, engagement, and closed business. This leader will target organic strategies to maximize loan growth, revenue, and member engagement though the use of content to improve conversion through all stages of the funnel. They will also be responsible for nurturing prospects through behavioral based marketing and marketing automation tools. In addition, this position will make strategy recommendations to promote revenue growth, brand awareness and member engagement. Lead a team focused on executing content marketing campaigns and strategies through channels including direct mail, email, organic search, digital display, native advertising, OTT, websites, paid and earned media, and social media. Implement content strategies needed to achieve volume and revenue objectives for all mortgage and home equity products including: VA mortgages, FHA mortgages, Conforming mortgages, Jumbo mortgages, and HELOCs. Partner with Sales leadership, Marketing Directors, Corporate Marketing, and product teams to optimize communications, web pages, and internal and external facing media. Define and oversee the use of content in nurturing campaigns to improve lead and application conversion. Partner with the Director of Lead Acquisition and Management to support the implementation of behavioral based marketing campaigns, including triggers, lead acquisition, and lead nurturing. Partner with Mortgage Marketing, Growth Initiatives, Marketing Ops, and Channel Marketing teams to execute campaigns and new strategies. Define and implement organic social media, website UI/UX, and SEO strategies to grow website traffic and continually improve conversation of traffic into leads, applications, and closed loans. Successfully manage and influence Centralized Corporate Marketing partners and external vendors to execute marketing strategies and campaigns on behalf of the Home Loans Marketing Team. Oversee content planning, execution, and reporting. Manage content budgets within allowable targets. Improve member satisfaction and engagement through communications during loan processing, on-boarding, and servicing. Actively follow industry trends and ensure team is assessing, and strategically acting on, current issues, trends, and industry and economic changes as they occur. Plan, organize and implement changes to optimize the Return on Investment (ROI) and evaluate the effectiveness of content marketing, SEO, and organic social media initiatives. Lead the creation of innovative creative assets and messaging that effectively engage prospects and increase brand equity. Qualifications Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Bachelor's Degree required in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Research, Business, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, or Business Analytics. Master’s Degree or MBA preferred. Minimum of twelve (12) years’ experience in Marketing. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in management, preferably in a financial services environment. Proven track record of managing high-performing and complex content marketing campaigns. Proven track record of improving website performance, conversion and top of funnel demand. Excellent creative instincts and a demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into compelling content that drives an emotional response, engagement, and action with target audiences. Proven expertise in how to value and measure the effect of content marketing and demonstrate ROI. Works closely with the Growth Initiatives, Lead Acquisition & Management, Mortgage Marketing, Channel Marketing, and Corporate Marketing teams to create viable solutions for the marketing dept. Knowledge of native advertising, content syndication, content delivery, earned and paid media methods and techniques, other methods used to engage prospects and drive conversion through the full customer lifecycle. Ability to plan, direct and advise others on highly complex and sensitive projects and prepare and present technical reports Strong written and verbal communication skills; high degree of proficiency in synthesizing and communicating data from a variety of disciplines. Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and manage priorities, including the ability to manage and influence internal and external partners, vendors, and contractors to achieve exceptional results. Knowledge of CRM, marketing solutions and Mortgage operating systems including Google Analytics, Velocify, Encompass, Salesforce, Adobe Campaign and Adobe Cloud services. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and other graphics or presentation software; familiarity with statistical software desirable. Supervisory Responsibility This position will supervise employees. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. *Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds. * Travel Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call is required.
