PenFed is hiring an Associate Vice President, Consumer Digital Origination Managementat (Remote) at our Tysons, Virginia location. The primary purpose of this position to oversee digital origination of consumer products including loans, cards, and deposits. The Associate Vice President, Consumer Digital Origination Management will coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure successful implementation of decision management (credit, fraud, and BSA), and all aspects of origination flows and processes. Point of Contact for Consumer Banking in coordination with external vendors and IT to develop and maintain origination and decisioning platforms for supporting the pre-approval consumer organic and indirect loans, credit card, and deposit applications. Responsible for ensuring models and policies developed by the Decision Management team are correctly translated into business requirements and implemented in the decision management platform. Lead the development of a strong monitoring and feedback mechanism between models, policy rule implementation, origination platforms, and achieving Consumer Banking profitability and growth goals Establish standards, tools, and processes for managing the requirements lifecycle as well as user acceptance testing. Point of contact for supporting consumer banking operations in origination of consumer banking products. Responsible for ensuring timely delivery and quality of data from all origination platforms within PenFed’s corporate Data Lake. Responsible for establishing change management process for the origination platform through advanced techniques like simulation to ensure minimal impact to the business. Responsible for developing operational risk controls around origination platforms to ensure first line defense responsibilities are met. Communicate with auditors and other internal / external oversight groups as necessary, coordinate review and remediation activities. Define and implement a strong risk and issue management process and associated tools. Proactively identify current and emerging risks and issues by regularly communicating with various team members; discuss risks and issues at appropriate forums to pursue mitigations and resolutions as necessary. Escalate appropriate risks and issues to PenFed senior management. Contract finalization – Assist PenFed in discussions and reviews related to finalization of contract with product vendors. Perform ongoing schedule and vendor deliverables management. Escalate any concerns/issues about vendor performance to PenFed management. Coordinate with Product, Consumer Underwriting and Processing, Fraud, Compliance, Legal, Accounting, IT, and other key stakeholders to socialize decision management capabilities and current and proposed transformative processes and outcomes. Establish and execute a comprehensive executive communication plan. Coordinate with stakeholders at all PenFed geographical locations. Helps safeguard PenFed’s computer and IT systems by monitoring staff adherence of all security policies and related training for individuals managed by this role. Takes appropriate action working with IT security and HR when necessary to address any security breaches. Qualifications Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Master’s Degree in economics, finance, statistics, technology, or related field required. Minimum of 10 years managing teams in the Loan Origination, and Decision Management platforms with an understanding of credit policies, risk and marketing models, and consumer underwriting processes. Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Project Management is required specifically managing COTS products. Work in an agile environment is highly desired. Supervisory Responsibility This position will supervise employees.
