PenFed is hiring a Senior Cash Management Specialist at our Frisco, Texas location. The primary purpose of this role acts as subject matter expert in processing consumer and mortgage loan payments, payment reversals, monetary adjustments, and cash transactions on the Loan Servicing system. This position also performs other cash and monetary functions as assigned including the set up and maintenance of automatic loan payments (ACH), researching payment transactions and responding to inquiries (written, email and MSP tasks). In all interactions this position must provide accurate and timely information with excellent member service for both internal and external stakeholders, adhering to applicable regulations and requirements. Assists the department supervisor/manager in day to day direction, prioritization of staff and workflow Assists the team in the daily operations of department duties Acts as initial escalation point of contact on issues, delays, member inquiries etc. Assists supervisor/manager in mentoring, coaching, and timely feedback on performance of team Creates and updates departmental procedures and job aids Functions as a department subject matter expert (SME) Responsible for advanced level tasks which may include loan level reversals and reapplications, or reversal of funds to checks and/or wire transfers. Works with the Investor Reporting Manager to determine appropriateness of reversal requests Keeps supervisor/manager advised of all issues, unresolved escalated items and/or potential risk/exposure issues Assist in monitoring vendor relationships for BillPay and lockbox. Manages departmental reports to ensure completion Trains other processors to review and manage system functions and reports Works on special projects and any other duties assigned Consistently complies with all company guidelines Analyzes daily suspense aging report, post suspense funds when applicable according to client and investor rules Interprets previous servicer history to facilitate the reversal of payments that were applied by a previous servicer Assists in the preparation of audits by gathering required documentation Performs supervisory tasks for nightly closing of the department during the absence of the Supervisor, including, but not limited to: Ensures that all payment and payoff batches are closed Ensures the check deposit is prepared and transmitted to the Federal Reserve Bank Ensures that all lockbox files are received and processed at the data center Secures of all negotiable instruments This role is responsible for ensuring business continuity. * Qualifications Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. High School Diploma or GED required Five plus (5+) years of current banking experience or related payment processing experience Experience with BKFS MSP preferred but not required Computer literacy, including but not limited to Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook Strong math aptitude essential Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills required Supervisory Responsibility This position will not directly supervise employees Licenses and Certifications There are no additional certifications required. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. *Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds. Travel Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.
