Penfed is hiring a Research & Correspondence Support Specialist at our Frisco, Texas location. The primary purpose of this role is to support the maintenance of member contact through non-verbal communication methods received in multiple formats. The individual will be responsible for all inbound and outbound communications through non-verbal correspondence, while providing responses in a professional, accurate, and timely manner. In addition, the individual will route specific inquiries to appropriate areas of expertise. Receive, inspect, and distribute all inbound documentation and correspondence as received through various shipping methods including, but not limited to, USPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, courier services, etc. Prepare and process all outbound documentation and correspondence as needed through various shipping methods including, but not limited to, USPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, courier services, etc. Utilize appropriate equipment and technology for the scanning, upload, and maintenance of correspondence as directed; manage the retention and shipment of all documents and/or correspondence received through inbound methods and/or outbound methods as required. Maintains applicable mailroom equipment and applicable support mechanisms including, but not limited to, processing first class, standard, certified, registered, international, and parcel mail packages, maintain postage account through select equipment, maintain records for expenditures for postage or mail services, and perform all functions related to bulk mailings or postal reports. Assist with the check processing and printing process as directed; manage the outbound shipment of payment processes as directed. Document all inbound and outbound correspondence as direction through the utilization of the mortgage loan servicing system and/or systems of record as applicable. Monitor and ensure assigned tasks are being completed in an accurate and timely fashion in accordance with established standard levels of service. Qualifications Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Education and/or experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform essential role functions. Minimum of four (4) years in a financial institution with exposure to residential lending is required; mortgage servicing experience is highly preferred. Experience in utilizing automated loan-servicing systems is required. Sagent (FiServ/LoanServ) and/or BKFS (Black Knight/MSP) skills and knowledge gained through practical experience is highly preferred. Supervisory Responsibility This position will not directly supervise employees Licenses and Certifications There are no additional certifications required. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds. Travel Ability to travel to various worksites and to be on-call as needed is required.
