PenFed Credit Union Remote Systems Support Business Analyst in Frisco, Texas

PenFed is hiring a Systems Support Business Analyst at our Frisco, Texas location. The primary purpose of this job entails providing business analyst and project support in the mortgage servicing domain. The Systems Support Business Analyst will collaborate with mortgage business units and IT to identify improvement opportunities and evaluates, recommends and implements technology or process-based solutions. Project responsibilities include assessing process details, developing business requirements, and creating and executing test plans. Familiarity with the MSP platform as well as data query, data mining, and intermediate analytics capabilities are crucial to the success of this position. Analyze, evaluate, develop and translate detailed business requirements and specifications into system requirements in consideration of business need and existing technology Identify risk gaps in current processes and policies and establish and document procedures to mitigate the Develop, coordinate and execute thorough, all-inclusive test plans and detailed test cases to ensure development and maintenance tasks meet business requirements and do not negatively affect existing system functions and Coordinate and oversee Certification and User Acceptance testing, documentation and problem tracking. Prepare script-based acceptance testing by developing appropriate scenario bound scripts and manipulating conditioned data accordingly. Support technical staff by participating in unit and integration testing during the development phase of Act as liaison between the business units and technical Support project assignments and IT technical staff by understanding user-based parameter changes. Review problems and proactively escalate issues for resolution while understanding the major impacts to technical and business-related areas. Provide recommendations and solutions that can be quickly implemented to correct the Work with and assist Training, Marketing and any other business units in support of the development, training and implementation of assigned Work multiple projects concurrently and shift priorities as required to meet business requirements and Gain department functional knowledge as it relates to business processes in order to capitalize on system enhancements designed to improve workflow. Document results of review and make recommendations for risk mitigation. Perform queries and other data analyses to support basic troubleshooting, data mining, and trend analysis. This role is responsible for ensuring business continuity. * Qualifications Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Minimum five (5) years of experience in mortgage loan servicing, HELOC Servicing, and various related operations preferred. Two (2) + years of project management experience required Ability to analyze upgrades and impact the department prior to implementation Intermediate or higher expertise using Microsoft products including Excel, Word, Outlook. Ability to create graphs, charts, forecasts, use pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and perform other core functions in the analyst role. Ability to perform MSP queries in Passport. Ability to analyze technology upgrades and assess operational impact prior to implementation. Ability to solve complex problems involving multiple facets and variables Experience in creating and updating Policy and Procedures and User Guides Supervisory Responsibility This position will not directly supervise employees Licenses and Certifications There are no additional certifications required Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. *Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds. Travel Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.
