PenFed is hiring a Dealer Relations Manager, Northern California (Remote) at one of the following locations: San Francisco, California; Oakland, California; Sacramento, California; Los Angeles, California; or Corona, California. The primary purpose of this job is responsibility for indirect auto sales activity within a designated market or territory. This position requires the ability to collaborate effectively with management to define and execute standardized sales and marketing practices to automotive dealerships, as well as oversee the promotion and continuous development of indirect auto sales strategies, to meet or exceed business objectives. Promote and share best practices with dealer partners, while providing exceptional customer service, support and advocacy for our indirect auto lending products and services. Maintain existing dealer relationships and expand dealer and dealer group relationships, within assigned market, to generate new business opportunities. Manage the dealer body within assigned market to meet and exceed all performance plans and objectives to include volume, book to look, conversion %, days in for funding, quality mix, and other KPIs. Develop and promote business relationships, utilizing consultative business and selling practices, with dealership personnel to drive profitable origination volume. Maintain consistent and accurate communication with dealer partners to ensure they’re knowledgeable and updated on our current indirect products, pricing, programs, policy and operational practices. Establish strong relationships with new and existing dealers and larger dealer groups to improve existing dealer relationships and performance, and work closely with leadership on non-performing dealers in order to promote profitable business growth and exceed objectives. Review performance scorecards with dealership management and council dealers on quality and quality of loans being submitted. Effectively train dealers on the indirect rate sheet and policies including ensuring that we receive complete and accurate loan packages. Create and maintain records of dealer visits through completion of a detailed Dealer Contact Report and maintain accurate and timely documentation on those DCRs. Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to indirect auto lending, dealer retail sales, and credit union compliance including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws as well as serving as subject matter expert on our indirect lending products, programs, policies and procedures. Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment as well as independently to meet business objectives. Exudes positivity and strong commitment to meeting business objectives and the goals of the indirect auto lending team. Perform other tasks as assigned that support indirect lending operations. Qualifications Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or a combination of education and experiences that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions. Minimum of eight (8) years of experience within a financial organization or dealership finance management. Knowledge and understanding of sales or indirect auto finance operations, strong prospecting, sales, negotiation, and influence skills and minimum of 3 years of customer service experience. Dealer Services Experience with the ability to interact with various levels of management preferred. Credit underwriting experience and strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills required. Must be available and willing to work flexible hours/schedule similar to car dealerships - to include nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Sales territory will vary based off home location and can expand across various states, regions. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.
